Welcome
Recently taken back into family ownership by the Frank family, The Moors Inn is located in the quiet village of Appleton-le-Moors on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors, within the National Park. This unspoilt lesser known village is just off the A170, and has good accessibility to the Moors & Coast for touring the area, as well as scenic walks from our back door for the more active.
Our aim is to ensure you get away from it all and have a relaxing break whilst being looked after by our local staff, whether that is for a quick meal, a party or a longer stay in our en-suite bedrooms. The Inn, dating back to the 18th Century is a grade II listed building and has been restored by the current owners to reflect its past whilst providing modern comforts and a high standard of accommodation. The location is peaceful and picturesque, and perfect for both quiet relaxation and more active visitors.
We have a select wine list, and a large selection of malt whiskeys, and hand pulled local ales as well as a good non-alcoholic selection. Traditional British food is available lunchtime and evening, home-made using fresh ingredients.
Listed in Alistair Sawday's Special Places to Stay and the Good Pub guide, we aim to make every guest feel at home, and get the most out of their stay in this special part of England.
